Hemp imports to the United States – consisting of hemp seeds and fibers often used as inputs for use in further manufacturing – totaled $67.3 million in 2017, 57% decrease in seed imports from 2017, and the first half of 2018 puts the import market on pace for a 20% decrease. This descending trend is expected to continue as the U.S. hemp market continues to mature.
Some of those products, which don’t include the CBD amount on their label, market themselves as “whole plant” or “full spectrum” hemp products, or say they are rich in other compounds from the plant, such as various fatty acids. Though it’s possible that those other compounds provide additional health benefits, that’s still uncertain. In those cases, you could check the COA, if they have one, which should list how much CBD or THC they contain.
The latest trend in the market is growing influence of online retailing for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) operations. The increasing popularity of e-commerce businesses worldwide has granted vendors with an opportunity to enhance their profit margins and revenues. E-commerce reported for nearly 15% of the global retail sales in 2017.
And now that the updated U.S. Farm Bill has been passed which more or less legalizes hemp, we can expect to start seeing more and more very high quality CBD oils hit the American market in the coming years. HempWorx has been around for awhile, and they’re simply doing what they can from a business perspective in order to gain a foothold in the industry. In our mind, this should not take away at all from the quality of their products.

HempWorx uses only industrial, GMO-free Kentucky hemp grown using organic methods under the 2014 Farm Bill and the Government Pilot Program for Hemp Research. The result is high potency and consistency in each compound processed via solvent-free CO2 extraction. They offer powerful, full spectrum oils as well as THC-free tinctures (Note that all HempWorx’s full spectrum oils fall at or below the federal allotment for THC levels). Each oil is available in two concentrations in cinnamon, peppermint, and natural flavors. No artificial colors or flavors are present in any of their offerings. The innovative topicals include high-end skincare varieties rich in healing properties. The powerful anti-aging cream treats wrinkles with 50 mg CBD, while their Revive cream includes other anti-agers like collagen and retinol. HempWorx’s pet line features dog treats that are soy-free, grain-free, and corn-free plus oil tinctures for pain/anxiety relief. One of their most popular products is the hemp-infused coffee, a delicious way to enjoy CBD benefits. And the best part is the CBD Keto Coffee Creamer that goes along with it! This savory addition is gluten-free, Keto, vegan, and sugar-free: a great way to add CBD to a daily health regimen in a tasty way.
HempWorx CBD is an interesting brand that has no issue with transparency in terms of how they operate as a business, and where they source their raw hemp plant material from. Also, one of the main things that stands out to me as that they’re one of the only companies I know of that offers specific dosing guidelines for a range of serious medical conditions. This is a bit odd, however, as they also make it clear that CBD is not approved by the FDA as a medicine, and thus none of their products are designed to “treat, cure, or prevent” any disease.
