No it isn’t. It is a genuine good quality product sold to customers who willingly buy it.  The products are sold through multi-level marketing. Companies including Rodan & Fields, Avon, Doterra, and Advocare use the same sales strategy. Every sale is credited to an affiliate who gets a commission for the sale. Affiliates also get paid to recruit new affiliates to sell the product. Though MLM business model can be contentious and the genuineness of testimonials product sellers can be questioned, it doesn’t make it a scam. We did another review on a similar company here.
Fuentes says she has to deal with "tons" of shady people in the industry. She says vendors have offered to sell her extract that contains specified levels of CBD or other compounds. They send her samples, which she sends to her lab. The samples check out fine, so she orders a kilogram--but when she sends a bit of that order to the lab, "it's not the same thing they sent me as a sample. And there is no recourse." Green Roads spends $30,000 to $40,000 a month testing their raw materials for pesticides, solvents, and metals, and it requires certificates of origin from their suppliers as well.
Dolgin was a veteran of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the National Counterterrorism Center, both in D.C., before he got burned out on government jobs. He’d been working on cybersecurity projects in New York when he met Justh. “I grew up as a Jewish kid on Long Island,” Dolgin says. “I like the idea of making an impact in a depressed New York community, and of looking at agriculture in a new way. We began to consider hemp. Because of my regulatory background, I knew how government works—and doesn’t work.”
Cannabidiol and cannabidiolic acid work by binding to various receptor targets throughout the central nervous system and the rest of the body.  Acting at these receptor sites, it exerts influence on the metabolism of various neurotransmitter systems.  It seems like ‘snake oil’ that one compound can have all the beneficial effects listed above; however, cannabinoid receptors exist throughout the nervous system and it is known that such a ubiquitous receptor must be involved in nearly everything the nervous system does, just like serotonin and dopamine receptors.  Dopamine affects pleasure, but also pain.  Anxiety and also relaxation.  Heart contraction and blood pressure.  All of these systems are integrated so cannabinoid receptors will indeed have effects on all of these systems and exogenous cannabinoids from plants can definitely have therapeutic effects which are extensive.
CBD product labels sometimes say that they were produced with “CO2 extraction.” That can mean that the CBD and other ingredients were removed from the plant using high-pressure carbon dioxide gas, not chemical solvents. Depending on the type of CO2 extraction used, the technique might be able to extract not just CBD but other cannabinoids (see number 5) in the plant, Boyar says. However, that approach is not necessarily better, because it’s unclear whether those other compounds provide additional health benefits. And it may not be safer, either, because some forms of CO2 extraction still use solvents, Boyar says.

At these prices I believe most purchasers believe they are buying a CBD containing product for pain control or other conditions. When a product is advertised as "full spectrum" this is what is implied. Do not make the same expensive mistake that I did. This is a hemp seed extract with negligible, if any, CBD. It has no effect for pain control, glaucoma, or other conditions.

That’s important to farmers like Meyer, and to consumers. When a plant contains 0.3 percent or less THC, the federal government considers it “industrial hemp,” and by Colorado’s and most states’ reckoning, can legally be formulated into oils, tinctures, topicals, and capsules, and widely sold to consumers. But if a plant has THC levels above 0.3 percent, the federal government considers it marijuana, and even states where it is legal sharply limit where the products can be sold.
HempWorx products are made in the USA with locally sourced ingredients, raw materials, certified organic hemp grown in Kentucky, and are free of any synthetic or artificial ingredients. They use the full spectrum “whole plant” for maximum phytocannabinoids benefit with very potent and high purity level in their products. HempWorx CBD Oil is made from NON-GMO, PESTICIDE FREE, CO2 Extracted Hemp Oil. Everything is tested in an FDA Approved facility. Hemp within Agricultural guidelines could be considered a ‘food’ however our product when marketed becomes a dietary supplement. HempWorx products are trusted by hundreds of thousands of customers around the globe, and are backed by mounds of clinical data and stability testing.

The latest trend in the market is growing influence of online retailing for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) operations. The increasing popularity of e-commerce businesses worldwide has granted vendors with an opportunity to enhance their profit margins and revenues. E-commerce reported for nearly 15% of the global retail sales in 2017.
Although it’s constantly mistaken for cannabis, and it comes from the same plant, hemp is not the same product. While marijuana is bred to include potent amounts of THC, hemp has only trace amounts—it contains less than 0.3 percent of the hallucinogen. “You could smoke a football field of hemp and you wouldn’t get high, you’d get a headache,” is how Dolgin describes it. Still, when it planted its first seeds, JD Farms had to install an armed guard. (Until they’re planted in the ground, hemp seeds are considered a Schedule I narcotic, according to Dolgin.)
In 1996, a study published in the clinical journal Nature found that chocolate contains thre...e fatty acid compounds that bind directly to cannabinoid receptors or indirectly act on them through increased anandamide levels (by inhibiting the FAAH enzyme). The endocannabinoid anandamide, which is commonly called “natural tetrahydrocannabinol” (or THC), is “a brain lipid that binds to cannabinoid receptors with high affinity and mimics the psychoactive effects of plant-derived cannabinoid drugs.” This suggests that certain chocolate compounds act on the same receptors as cannabis does. Though some researchers today question whether the compounds actually do bind to the receptors directly, the majority agree that chocolate does increase anandamide levels, thus affecting them indirectly.

Before there was HempWorx, there was My Daily Choice, an MLM whose main products pre-HempWorx were supplements that you spray into your mouth. Josh Zwagil started My Daily Choice in November 2014, a month after ending a five-year run with an automotive products MLM, Syntek Global, where he rose to the highest rank of Blue Diamond Executive, according to his LinkedIn page. (Fun fact: After Zwagil left Syntek Global, the MLM filed a lawsuit against its longtime president, John Winterholler, alleging, among other things, that he went behind the company’s back and against its interests to market and sell a competitor’s products.)
CBD is one of over 60 compounds found in cannabis that belong to a class of ingredients called cannabinoids. Until recently, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) was getting most of the attention because it’s the ingredient in cannabis that produces mind-altering effects in users, but CBD is also present in high concentrations — and the medical world is realizing that its list of medical benefits continues to grow.

And then there’s the quality. JD Farms’ oil tastes fresher than other hemp oils because it’s produced in the U.S. The majority of hemp oil and seeds sold in America comes from plants grown in Canada. (According to the Toronto Star, in the first quarter of 2015, Canada exported $34 million worth of hemp seeds and oil.) Before hemp enters the U.S. it must be sterilized. (If it’s not, it counts as a Schedule I drug, along with substances such as heroin and ecstasy.) When it’s heated, hemp loses its pungent freshness and nuttiness. “It’s such an oily seed, heat speeds up the rancidity,” Justh says. “Plus, it’s just sitting around in vats. It’s got nothing in common with a product that is fresh from the field.”

In every business opportunity there will be those who are hard chargers and become wildly successful and of course, you have the opposite as well. MLM companies prey on that human frailty. You can have the best product out there but if you offer it in an MLM format decent people will rarely become involved after they understand what it really means.

Perhaps in the future when laws allow for full marijuana use, or at least full medical marijuana use in all areas, this company would be one to return to and have another look at. However, with the present state of affairs regarding the use and possession of marijuana as well as marijuana products like CBD oils, I can’t recommend joining any program that promotes the sale of these products.
Also, all HempWorx products are 100% organic and non-genetically modified, and the company apparently makes all of its products right here in the United States. Moreover, the hemp used to extract the oil is grown in Kentucky, and unlike a lot of firms who claim their CBD products to be lab tested, HempWorx actually ‘walks the walk’ by publishing up-to-date details of their test results on the site (you can find them under the “HempWorx Store” tab by clicking the “CBD Oil Certification” button).
