On the other hand, take extra care with products that list only the amount of total “cannabinoids” they contain, not specifically how much CBD is in them. Those cannabinoids could include not just CBD and THC but dozens of other related compounds. Companies may take that labeling approach because they hope it will attract less scrutiny from the Food and Drug Administration, Lee says.
Not true. A family member of mine also failed a drug test using Hempworx that was supposedly zero THC. They contacted their rep who refused to respond to calls or texts. So then they went straight to the company who said they were sorry but nothing they could do because supposedly their lab is different than the one that did the drug test??? What a scam.
Upscale specialty retailer Barneys New York announced plans to sell CBD-infused products and cannabis accessories in a new “luxury” head shop called The High End, the latest mainstream company to capitalize on the hemp and marijuana industries. The shop will open in March inside the Barneys flagship store in the tony Southern California town of […]
After joining HempWorx, I tested the products myself and I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the HempWorx CBD oil 500mg and the HempWorx pain rub and each has worked very well for my chronic back pain while also providing a calming effect which I like. Great results, but would these products work for my customers? Here’s an example - my very first customer bought the 750mg CBD oil for her arthritis pain. She had tried other products that had THC in them that did not work for her. After a week or so after she bought the CBD oil, I called her to get feedback on how it was going and she said she really didn’t notice a difference so I suggested that she take the oil topically on her pain areas rather than sublingually. A week later she was ecstatic because she was now getting relief from her arthritis pain and this was the only thing that was helping her. She reordered a few weeks later. So now I knew I could check off that main concern of whether the products were for real.
I bought the 500 mg bottle from reps Paul and Tara. They said it was the best thing since sliced bread and that it was perfectly legal. So I started taking it daily. But saw no results. I told Tara that it is was not working. Upon her recommendation, I then bought stronger 750 mg. Still nothing. I was told to keep taking it. It will work eventually.
After an entire year of using every Cbd known to man for anxiety , I found Hempworx to be the superior product . I usually steer clear of MLM companies . In 3 months I have earned more money weekly and monthly at hempworx than my job has provided after 20 years . The company has an 85 percent payout and a duplication structure that is so easy a monkey could do it . Not to mention after 20 years of having to take anxiety meds I am free thanks to their oils . So I’ll take it !!!
No it isn’t. It is a genuine good quality product sold to customers who willingly buy it.  The products are sold through multi-level marketing. Companies including Rodan & Fields, Avon, Doterra, and Advocare use the same sales strategy. Every sale is credited to an affiliate who gets a commission for the sale. Affiliates also get paid to recruit new affiliates to sell the product. Though MLM business model can be contentious and the genuineness of testimonials product sellers can be questioned, it doesn’t make it a scam. We did another review on a similar company here.
Look for products that show how much CBD (or cannabidiol, its full name) you get not just in the whole bottle but in each dose, says Lee, from Project CBD. Dosages, which are expressed in milligrams, or mgs, vary considerably depending on the form of the product, and experts often suggest starting with products that have relatively low doses. For example, with tinctures, consider a product that has just 10 mg per dose, says Mitch Earleywine, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at the University at Albany, State University of New York. (Read more about the safe use of CBD.)
Much work still needs to be done with the general public, farmers and our elected officials about the nutritional, industrial, environmental and medicinal benefits of hemp. As laws change, research is conducted and commercialization begins, sharing information will be vital to ensure the hemp industry thrives. NHA is committed to advancing this awareness and knowledge.
Hemp, the plant, is traditionally known for its use in textiles and ropes. That’s because of its strength: After about three weeks of growth, a hemp stalk will be so sturdy it’s almost impossible to break, because the fibers are so long and strong. But for culinary products, it’s the seeds that are all-important. After they’re pressed to produce oil, the resulting byproduct can be processed into a flour from which products like pasta can be created. JD Farms has also started cultivating young hemp leaves into salad mixes.
Vaporizers – Many state-licensed cannabis dispensaries offer high CBD strains of cannabis flower. This allows for reduced risk of paranoia while allowing for a high medicinal dose of CBD. Vaporizers are used to heat up the flower and remove the properties or compounds of the plant that you are looking for without combustion or smoking. Vaporizers use convection much like a convection oven.
As the cannabis plant awaits a high-stakes review from international health authorities, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is inviting the public to weigh in on whether cannabis, CBD and other cannabis extracts should declassified as a controlled substance. The UN’s World Health Organization made a preliminary announcement in December that CBD has a low […]
That’s important to farmers like Meyer, and to consumers. When a plant contains 0.3 percent or less THC, the federal government considers it “industrial hemp,” and by Colorado’s and most states’ reckoning, can legally be formulated into oils, tinctures, topicals, and capsules, and widely sold to consumers. But if a plant has THC levels above 0.3 percent, the federal government considers it marijuana, and even states where it is legal sharply limit where the products can be sold.
So for now, Green Roads, like other private businesses in this market, is girding for the day when it will have to compete--or collaborate--with the larger players they are sure will enter the fray. (Even Coca-Cola is rumored to be developing a CBD product.) Green Roads, for example, is involved in a pilot program with the University of Florida to bring hemp farming back to the state to bolster its profile, connections, and potentially, supply. Another CBD company, Dr. Kerklaan Therapeutics, joined together with three manufacturing facilities to create a larger entity that would interest investors; they raised $15 million.
Hemp Products sold in stores are most often made with hemp seed oil, which can contain only trace amounts of CBD. While it has been noted that hemp seed oil can be a great source of nutrition, its marginal quantity of CBD per weight makes it unfeasible as a CBD supplement. Our CBD hemp oil, however, is extracted from the stalk of specifically selected hemp cultivars, offering higher percentages of CBD by weight and additional nutritional benefits from the contents of our oil.

As you comb through the web pages, it’s clear the product is meant for a multi-level marketing scheme.  Many of these companies do not expect anyone to actually use the product.  They just  want people who will buy it in hopes of selling it to someone else.  One previous potential customer has said he could not buy the product, as the company demanded a referral.  This means multi-level marketing might be their main business.  This can lead to problems getting the product for regular consumers, though they do have an option to sell directly to the consumer as well on the website.

In addition to THC, Meyer and consumers also need to worry about whether CBD products have contaminants. That’s because cannabis plants readily absorb heavy metals, pesticides, and other potentially harmful chemicals that may be in the soil or water, says Kyle Boyar, a cannabis scientist at Medicinal Genomics, a company that develops tests that help labs comply with state rules. To protect against that risk, cannabis plants should be tested frequently while they are growing, and finished products should be tested, using validated methods, too, Boyar says.

HempWorx blew us away with the comprehensive nature of their Certificates of Analysis, and excellent sourcing standards, and commitment to education. We were disappointed by their full-steam-ahead focus on the financial incentives for selling (not consuming) CBD. Exhortations like “Cash in on the emerging $7.1 Billion Cannabis industry!” and “…we have a VIRAL product that requires zero selling!” were disappointing to read. This emphasis on their affiliate program (as opposed to a discussion of charitable endeavors) is a little different from other brands. However, HempWorx now makes product pricing and details available right on the site.
