San Francisco-based tech company Eaze launched a new online marketplace, Eaze Wellness, to ship hemp-derived CBD products to 41 states across the U.S. and the District of Columbia. CBD sales more than doubled among the company’s customers last year, Sheena Shiravi, Eaze’s director of consumer communications, told Fortune, highlighting a key business opportunity. This marks the company’s […]
No it isn’t. It is a genuine good quality product sold to customers who willingly buy it.  The products are sold through multi-level marketing. Companies including Rodan & Fields, Avon, Doterra, and Advocare use the same sales strategy. Every sale is credited to an affiliate who gets a commission for the sale. Affiliates also get paid to recruit new affiliates to sell the product. Though MLM business model can be contentious and the genuineness of testimonials product sellers can be questioned, it doesn’t make it a scam. We did another review on a similar company here.
1) Startup Costs - Most of cannabis business opportunities require a ton of start up money. For example, opening a retail dispensary requires $250k+ minimum and many I see are well over $1M. Even if you do have that kind of cash to invest in a cannabis business, you just upped your RISK exponentially because you also have a ton of ongoing operational costs as well - commercial rent, inventory, staff, regulatory requirements and a never-ending list of EXPENSES.
A 500mg bottle of Hempworx CBD oil costs $69 plus shipping. Before shipping cost it amounts to $0.14 per milligram of CBD. The 750mg bottle costs $89 plus shipping or $0.12 per milligram of CBD. The price per milligram is not outrageous by MLM standards. Still, it’s considerably higher in price than CBD oil products from other trustworthy companies like Lazarus Naturals, Bluebird Botanicals, and CBDistillery.
CBD is one of over 60 compounds found in cannabis that belong to a class of ingredients called cannabinoids. Until recently, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) was getting most of the attention because it’s the ingredient in cannabis that produces mind-altering effects in users, but CBD is also present in high concentrations — and the medical world is realizing that its list of medical benefits continues to grow.
2) Time and Hassle - It takes a ton of time to get a traditional cannabis business off the ground - years for some when you include all the licensing, permitting, zoning, city and state regulations and taxes, staffing, commercial space acquisition, etc. not to mention the delays, stress and headaches of all these requirements. With the HempWorx business opportunity, you can be in business within 2 minutes from now literally. Simply go here, signup and you’re in business.
It is important that the CBD is actually dry during processing and added to hemp oil as a natural carrier. This process allows us to maintain the FDA and legal standard guidelines of Zero THC. Our competitors typically will use coconut oil, palm oil or a non-relative carrier for dried CBD. Do not be confused by the carrier of hemp oil. Our product is CBD Oil. Other competitors disregard the legal standard and you get unregulated, high amounts of THC in your product. With HempWorx you get the benefits of CBD without the downside of THC and remain compliant. Our CBD is grown in Kentucky and tested in an FDA approved facility.

Hempworx CBD oil herbal drops has a nice webpage.  However, immediately you run into confusion about what is being sold, a confusion that works in their favor.  Most people don’t know the difference between CBD, CBD oil, and hemp oil.  Hempworx’s front page contains the visual above which shows the benefits of CBD.  Most consumers will assume from this that they product being sold is CBD oil.  Much of it is CBD with verified levels, but some of the products contain hemp oil instead.  These are clearly labeled, so it’s on the consumer to read and interpret the product labels.
By "a few drops a day" what do you mean? It says to "start at" 5 drops and work up to 15, if needed. I hate to talk negative about a product that I have yet to try so don't take it that way. However, 5-15 drops is a huge range and then 2X a day.....that bottle will empty pretty fast. Again, what is "a few drops a day" and how often are you taking a few drops? Thanks for your reply
Perhaps in the future when laws allow for full marijuana use, or at least full medical marijuana use in all areas, this company would be one to return to and have another look at. However, with the present state of affairs regarding the use and possession of marijuana as well as marijuana products like CBD oils, I can’t recommend joining any program that promotes the sale of these products.
With the federal government's full legalization of hemp, a previously marginalized industry is opening for free interstate commerce. What does that mean for entrepreneurs looking to get into the space, as well as those who could benefit from a wider availability of hemp-derived products? Here's a brief look at hemp's history in the U.S., as well as what its newly legalized status means for small businesses.

I have auto immune disease, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal stenosis, spinal scoliosis, bulging discs on nerve roots, chronic pain, neuropathy, depression, anxiety. I am/was on five pharma meds: Ralivia 100mg, Cymbalta 60mg, Tecta 40mg, Paxil 30mg and Hydromorphone 1mg (as needed). I am a walking chemical! And I believe I have found a solution!!! I now have HOPE! for the first time in nine years. I have been 'permanently disabled' for over seven. I was in constant pain! I was so disheartened that my life had become almost unbearable!

Look for products that show how much CBD (or cannabidiol, its full name) you get not just in the whole bottle but in each dose, says Lee, from Project CBD. Dosages, which are expressed in milligrams, or mgs, vary considerably depending on the form of the product, and experts often suggest starting with products that have relatively low doses. For example, with tinctures, consider a product that has just 10 mg per dose, says Mitch Earleywine, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at the University at Albany, State University of New York. (Read more about the safe use of CBD.)
Federal law first loosened in 2004 when the Hemp Industries Association challenged the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) on a proposed rule that would have prohibited the import of hemp seed and oils for processing and manufacturing in the U.S. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the DEA rule, allowing manufacturers to continue importing hemp for the creation of finished products like hemp-based foods, beverages and topicals. Although the decision allowed many product manufacturers to continue operating their businesses, the domestic cultivation and harvest of hemp remained prohibited. It wouldn't be the last time the Hemp Industries Association pushed back against the DEA.
The heat is very much on CBD oil sellers these days as the FDA continues to crack down on companies selling “questionable” (to put it nicely) hemp-based products. In fact, since 2015 – when the FDA first issued warning letters to multiple CBD sellers – the industry has been forced to clean up its act, at least in terms of manufacturing operations and brand transparency.
