3. Is the CBD oil sold by Hempworx a bad product? No. To their credit, Hempworx does post third party lab reports posted on its website. Third party lab reports are the only way to really know what’s in the product you are buying. The Hempworx lab reports clearly show the amount of CBD and other cannabinoids including trace amounts of THC in the Hempworx CBD oil tincture. By all accounts, Hempworx CBD oil is of reasonably good quality. However, it’s worth noting that their posted lab reports do not show results of heavy metal, pesticide and residual solvents testing. The omission of these test results is concerning.
Subcritical CO2 extraction technology allows us to extract all of the nutrients, without using any heat or harmful solvents. The result is a high potency, whole food CBD Oil with exceptional nutritional qualities. Hempworx CBD oil contains all the CBD’s and 400+ other nutrients that work synergistically in an easy-to-use, easy-to-absorb form. Most CBD companies use solvents to perform extraction potentially destroying the potential therapeutic benefit of the whole cannabis phytocomplex. There are more than 400 phytonutrients in hemp.
For very quick relief of, say, muscle cramps or anxiety, inhaling CBD may be most effective, via either a vape pen (think e-cigarette) or cigarette-style. For effects within a few minutes, oil drops under the tongue may be useful. Topical lotions, rubbed onto the skin, vary from person to person—some may feel it right away, others not for several hours. On the other hand, CBD in food products is likely to take longer—30 minutes or more—to be absorbed into your system. Read more about the pros and cons of each form.
Also, all HempWorx products are 100% organic and non-genetically modified, and the company apparently makes all of its products right here in the United States. Moreover, the hemp used to extract the oil is grown in Kentucky, and unlike a lot of firms who claim their CBD products to be lab tested, HempWorx actually ‘walks the walk’ by publishing up-to-date details of their test results on the site (you can find them under the “HempWorx Store” tab by clicking the “CBD Oil Certification” button).
So the CBD arrived. Josh and I took it for a couple of days Just to make sure we didn't feel funny or get sick and both of us had never felt better in our lives. So we gave it to our daughter, 5 drops of the peppermint flavor under her tongue in the morning. It has been a month now and she is passing. 20% graded papers have turned into 105% graded papers. She loves to read and tell me all about the story. Her focus and attention have returned. She is not crying when it‘s time to do homework!
In 1937, federal prohibition of cannabis as we know it today began with the Marihuana Tax Act. Some believe that the anti-cannabis campaign was a joint effort by Andrew Mellon, William Randolph Hearst and Pierre Du Pont to protect their business interests in petrochemicals, paper, cotton and nylon, all of which faced serious competition from hemp alternatives. Others believe that the crusade against cannabis was fueled by racism and the desire to demonize Mexican immigrants. In either case, the plant should never have been outlawed.
1. Is Hempworx a scam? No. CBD oil scams do exist whereby consumers are deceived and grossly overcharged for a poor quality product. Hempworx is a real product of reasonably good quality that is sold to customers that willingly purchase it. Hempworx does sell its products through multi-level marketing (MLM). This is the same sales strategy used by companies like Avon, Doterra, Rodan & Fields, Advocare and a host of others. Each sale is credited to one of their affiliates who receive a commission for the sale. Affiliates are also incented to recruit new affiliates to sell the product. While the MLM business model can be controversial and the authenticity of testimonials from those selling the product can be questioned, that doesn’t make it a scam.
Worx is a complete scam. It is a peer amid multi-level marketing. You have to pay $20 to become a member to buy their product. I have used numerous different CBD products. And I found there is to be pretty much useless. All of the reps will claim that it contains no THC, which is not true, it contains 0.3%. All the reps push so hard just like all the other peer amid scheme’s out there they’re like little robots programmed for sales. Their prices are double than anyone out there. Not impressed at all.
In June 2018, the U.S. Senate passed its 2018 Farm Bill and in December 2018, President Trump signed the bill into law to make hemp legal for the first time since the 1930s. The bill removes hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, effectively legalizing the plant federally and allowing it to be grown, processed, and sold as an agricultural commodity. Individual states will be authorized to draft their own regulations governing hemp cultivation.
Says Dolgin, who worked with state legislatures to help get the bill passed: “What we brought to the table is that we treated hemp as a big agriculture business, not as a few plants in a greenhouse like marijuana.” Justh adds, “For hemp to take its greater place in the agricultural landscape, it needs to be seen as a commodity.” Dolgin sums it up: “We’re very bullish about the food aspect of hemp. It’s right for an American farm to dominate that market, especially in the organic space.”
Some research suggests that in some people, CBD may work better when it’s combined with at least a little THC, says Martin Lee, director of Project CBD, an advocacy group that supports CBD research and the author of "Smoke Signals: A Social History of Marijuana—Medical, Recreational, and Scientific" (Scribner, 2012). This is called the “entourage effect,” Lee says, the idea that the sum of the two chemicals, plus other related compounds in the plant, is greater than their individual parts.
Generally, CBD oil is made by combining an extract with a carrier fluid or oil. This question is best answered by looking at how the CBD oil was extracted. CBD oil can be extracted using CO2 systems or by using chemical solvents. Both methods produce a CBD oil byproduct that is then combined with a fluid like MCT oil, coconut oil, or olive oil so that it can be delivered to the body. Always check to make sure you know the CBD content of the products you purchase.
CBD product labels sometimes say that they were produced with “CO2 extraction.” That can mean that the CBD and other ingredients were removed from the plant using high-pressure carbon dioxide gas, not chemical solvents. Depending on the type of CO2 extraction used, the technique might be able to extract not just CBD but other cannabinoids (see number 5) in the plant, Boyar says. However, that approach is not necessarily better, because it’s unclear whether those other compounds provide additional health benefits. And it may not be safer, either, because some forms of CO2 extraction still use solvents, Boyar says.
Not true. A family member of mine also failed a drug test using Hempworx that was supposedly zero THC. They contacted their rep who refused to respond to calls or texts. So then they went straight to the company who said they were sorry but nothing they could do because supposedly their lab is different than the one that did the drug test??? What a scam.
